Western Digital engages with its customers at Secutech India 2014

At the recently concluded Secutech India 2014 Security Exhibition, a B2B event held at Pragati Maidan, Iffort collaborated with Momentum Communications and Western Digital to significantly increase the footfalls to its stall, eventually becoming the cynosure of the whole event. The brand smartly used the activities on ground to promote the theme product, WD Purple Hard Disk, seen also through the event’s color theme, purple in its photo-booth and the QR-Wall. The activities which caught the attention of thousands at the public event were recognised and mentioned on Social Samosa too! Read here

1. The WD Selfie photo-booth

The photo-booth, beautifully crafted in a purple theme was simple to access and had a huge turn out with catchy placards to hold reading ‘My purple date with WD” and “This is my minute with WD” among many others and several fancy party wear like purple goggles and wigs to accompany the look of the visitor . Once the visitors clicked a Selfie, they were able to send the Selfie to their inbox, share them on their Facebook page, Twitter account and even get a print out right away in a smart purple template. The brand even gratified the most wacky Selfies with branded WD t-shirts every hour!

2. The QR-Wall

Another activity on offer, which served the purpose of spreading brand-awareness along with fun was the ‘QR-Wall.’  The wall gave out several brand features and a winning message for an exclusive WD t-shirt all very intelligently done through the QR codes. Given 60 seconds for a shot at the wall, the visitors had to hunt for the right QR-code with the message for the branded WD purple t-shirt going through the heap of  interesting branded messages as well as some very interesting humour too!

The unique set of activities done by the brand that day was certainly the smartest idea of the event, where a brand instead of going loud with its fancy structures as stalls to pull in the crowd at these typical exhibitions, it used the power of customer-engagement with some trending ideas like the selfie and some common yet popular technology like QR codes and turned it around for the brand!
