We’re Hiring a Design Strategist

February 8, 2012 (one comment)

Good News folks, Iffort is on a hiring spree.  We are in search of a high-spirited design strategist who can work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.

Curious about iffort?  Why don’t you check the About Us page on our website. Synonyms for our work culture can be free, fun, spontaneous, wicked (slang for strikingly good, effective or skillful), etc.

At the moment we are searching for that Ideal candidate who can cope up with our randomness and can contribute to the crazy stuff that we are doing.

If you are that ideal candidate then you should possess in-depth knowledge of current Web design trends and techniques. You should have strong ideation and visualization skills for executing design projects for the web-medium. At Iffort, you’d be responsible for overseeing assignments such as building micro-portals, conceptualizing design of social media and web-applications.

You should have an appetite for creative thinking and ability to come up with out-of-box design solutions. Flair to work on digital and new media projects is preferred!

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop, and CorelDraw are skills that would already be expected from you.

Yes, we are very choosy/ picky about our team.

For us, quality matters rather than quantity.

For a formal job description, interested candidates can look at our Careers page.

Since you are already  thinking of coming down at our place for an interview now … we’d like to see your work before you make a visit. So send in your portfolio details along with you ‘latesht ‘ resume … :D …. at jobs@iffort.com or in my inbox at neha.mittal@iffort.com

Neha, HR at our startup is a curious girl and also doubles-up as our in-house artist. Likes to live in the moment and is a keen observer. A people's person and moody in her own weird way who also claims to be fashion freak. Can be easily identified with her giggles & grins in the office :D

Nice wrap-up Sharon and I definitely agree with you that the tone of the day was one of cnttencraoion on how social can realistically benefit a brand. I would like to just jump to justify the Ikea video if I might. Outside those who received free goods, does it change anyone else’s opinion? Who said opinions needed to be changed? (though I’m guessing that they were) the aim was to publicise the opening of a new Ikea store normally they’d invest in billboards, radio & the like (and they probably still did), but by engaging users, (I would guess that) they were able to publicise it on a much smaller than normal budget.Obviously these are only assumptions, and only Ikea can tell us whether they consider it a success (or whether the subsequent cloning of the campaign by spammers has caused long-term damage), but what it should do, I hope, is show that social is about more than just blogger outreach and, that tired old word, conversations (with people who don’t want to talk to you).
